    The location is convenient, with plenty of eateries nearby and activity even at night. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is expensive relative to the room configuration and comfort level. The King room balcony offers only a very limited sea view. The main drawback is the poor soundproofing. Getting a good night’s rest is difficult without earplugs. Rooms near the elevators should be avoided as corridor noise is extremely loud and clearly audible. Plumbing noise is also an issue, with pipe creaking noticeable when neighboring rooms use the tap.

    Very clean and excellent service.Staff were very kind. The hotel should add a bigger pool and sauna and hot tub. Otherwise everything in protea marriot was excellent specially the location of sea point

    They quoted me 500rand for a private transfer from airport to hotel but charged me 600rand. No explanation over the multiple days of my stay (pushing the blame to the missing concierge staff on the spot) for the discrepancy and no apology given. Otherwise, my stay was ok. I like the location relatively near city sightseeing tour bus stop, supermarket and other breakfast cafes. View from guest room (king with balcony) is not worth but view from 4th floor is nice!
