We visited Malta in spring and stayed in the hotel for an week. We used public transportation to reach the hotel. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Here are some pros and cons according to us.
Pros:
- Beautifully placed with great views of the sea and the paradise bay.
- Room was very big and spacious.
- The Gozo channel line connection ferry service is very near.
- The breakfast, lunch, dinner options at the hotel are very good.
- The indoor pool is good to spend some time.
- Direct bus connection from Airport to end stop near the hotel. Bus TD1. It takes about 2hrs to reach the hotel from the Airport.
- Water heater kettle in the room for tea and coffee.
- Mini fridge in the room to keep your food and drinks.
Cons:
- Because it situated at the norther most part of the main island, travelling from the airport and the capital could take some time.
- Limited shop options nearby to buy food and other things. There's a shop at the hotel that stays open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
- No free drinking water option so do manage your own drinking water beforehand. The tap water is not drinkable in Malta so you have to buy water. Buying water at the hotel can be expensive. Supermarkets like Lidl and Spar are very far from this hotel.
Here are some recommendations:
- We used the breakfast and dinner option at the hotel and they were totally worth it.
- Sea view rooms are good but we liked the bay view rooms more.
- In spring, the indoor pool is a good option to spend some time.

Perfect stay for a little break in a quiet area in Malta. Rooms are huge with views of the archipelago. Very clean and staff friendly. B'fast and dinner was varied and fresh and there was a large variety. On the other hand, just one point to mention, we were a group of 4 sharing two rooms. In our room, the warm water took a while, whilst in the other room, there were no issues. The AC was cosy enough, just slightly noisy. Overall, totally recommend and would stay here again.

We booked a sea view room at Paradise Bay Resort, but were given a room facing a hill with only a minimal glimpse of the sea. When I raised this at reception, I was told we had booked a “low economy” room—something not mentioned in the listing. It was misleading and should have been labelled partial sea view, at best. No upgrade was possible as the hotel was fully booked, and we were told to check back at reception every morning for availability—not ideal during a holiday.
The room itself was small, with a queen bed that felt more like a super single. Thankfully, the balcony gave us enough space to perform prayers. The bathroom had a bathtub but no bidet, and only one 500ml bottle of water was provided for the entire 5-night stay. Since tap water isn’t drinkable, we had to buy our own water from the convenience store outside (€1.99 for 6L).
Housekeeping was done daily, which was appreciated. The hotel’s location is convenient—walking distance to Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal (for Gozo & Comino) and the bus interchange.
We tried the breakfast, but it was average at best—nothing special. Overall, not a pleasant stay, mostly due to the misleading room description and lack of hospitality from the front desk.
