I stayed here for just over a month, so I was able to really appreciate everything 8villa has to offer. The location is perfect, just 5 mins walk from downtown St. Julian's and a 10-15min drive from Valletta, and 20 mins to the airport. Breakfast was provided daily, the shower was hot with great water pressure, I could make my room as warm or cool as I liked, and the bed was comfortable. Perhaps the best part was the price (about ***/night, cheaper than rent!) Oh, and the front desk clerk was always super friendly, great to have someone to talk to after a long day out. Is the place Ritz-Carlton-level perfect? You already read the price I mentioned, so obviously no, but it has everything you need, and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. (Note: it may show I only stayed here less than a month, due to planning issues on my end I had to make 2 bookings)
