Palmalife Hotel

Very nice hotel and friendly staff and very good beautiful view and great breakfast with nice location

We had the worst hotel experience of our lives at the Palmalife Hotel in Bodrum, and we are extremely disappointed by both the hotel and the lack of timely support from Agoda. The room and facilities were completely unacceptable. During our stay, we experienced the following serious issues: * The room was dirty upon arrival. * The TV was not working. * The room lights were not working properly. * The door was broken. * The minibar/fridge was not working. * The safe was broken. * There was no water in our room one morning and, again, one evening for approximately four hours. * The repairs promised by the hotel management were not properly completed. We raised all these issues with the hotel management. They apologized and repeatedly promised to repair and resolve everything, but nothing was properly fixed. The hotel eventually changed our room, but the second room was even worse. There were no towels, and several facilities and items were also broken. The hotel offered us a dinner as compensation, but the situation became even more unbelievable when they later tried to charge us extra for items we had not agreed to pay for. For example, a fruit platter advertised at ***was charged at ***. This was completely unacceptable and gave us the impression that we were being deliberately misled. In addition, the beach area was extremely dangerous, with rusty metal bars and unsafe facilities. I have never experienced such dangerous and unacceptable conditions in a hotel. We also received virtually no support from Agoda when we urgently needed assistance. Agoda was unreachable, and it took approximately 24 hours to receive a response. We even had to ask friends in our home country to try contacting Agoda on our behalf. This is completely unacceptable when customers are facing serious problems during an ongoing stay. We booked this hotel through Agoda expecting a safe and acceptable standard of accommodation. Instead, we experienced dirty and broken rooms, a lack of basic services such as water, dangerous facilities, misleading charges, and no effective support when we needed it most.
