But the apartment was not clean. We booked 2 apartments for our party of 5. Duomo and Verdi. The hot water was intermittent in Verdi. We informed the host but the problem was not fixed. The apartment is not very clean for both apartments and the blankets comforter did not have a duvet cover. They didn’t look n smell freshly washed. However it was cold so we had no choice but to use them. A duvet cover would have been be a nice and hygienic solution.
The cell reception was bad on the last night and so was the wifi. However we were informed by our host that there was something wrong with the router. Luckily we didn’t have anything urgent nor need to make any important phone calls. The staff were very good and were very responsive. However some of the power points in the Verdi apartment were faulty and we had difficulty charging our devices. The location was excellent nonetheless. Many attractions and restaurants are a stones throw away. The building is very old and certain parts like the hallway and bathroom can be a bit creepy or some may find it charming and historic. The parking garage is just nearby and costs 30 Euro per night. So driving here is not recommended! Note that certain areas in Florence are restricted to traffic. And the police may fine you if you enter without a permit/ or parking garage reservation. I only hope we were not fined as we were not informed about this beforehand.

I reach the booked room with dismay. The room was huge but totally not like the picture. It was old and dusty. The whole place was only under the facade of a "vintage experience". The kitchen had cups with stains. The toilet was full of stains too. The hotel water took forever to come. I asked the concierge via WhatsApp why is the room different from the photo but was told only 1 of the photo represent the room. But even that 1 photo was highly photoshopped with lighting.
Tried to live with it for 1 night but all the dust trigger my sinus and my nose was dripping non stop. Thought 1 night is enuf and decided to ask agoda to ask for a refund while I search desperately for another apartment to house my family of 2 toddlers, 2 adult and 2 seniors.
The owner agreed to a refund after 1 night stay but charged taxes, cleaning and 1 night stay which makes the refund only half the amount I paid for. Should jave just rejected immediately when it's all red flags once we entered the place
