- Misrepresents itself as a hotel sometimes, and a hostel, other times.
- Misrepresented facilities. No fitness/gym option
- No complimentary shampoo. Bar of soap to carry with you between shower and any time you need soap at the sink.
- Could be worse, but could be significantly better.

It wasn’t bad especially for the price so close downtown. It’s literally just an out of season dorm for TMU. So typical dorm room with shared bathroom and kitchen. It was SUPER hot tho. They left a fan in the room but it honestly didn’t help much.
However, the free cafe breakfast was good and handy and def worth to save money on eating out for breakfast

If you're on a budget, Neill Wycik is one of the best options. However, do expect that it is not a high-class and quality hotel. Its strength lies on its price (with free breakfast) and proximity to stores. It is a 10-minute walk from Dundas station and fast food chains. Nevertheless, its weakness lies on the quality of the room and staff. The room is a little bit old and uncomfortable. Some of the staff are not too friendly. It is not a high-end hotel or condo unit. It is suitable for on-a-budget tourists who can endure a not-so-good room experience. To be fair, the room is bearable, especially if you will spend most of your time exploring the streets of Toronto, and will just book the place for overnight stays.
Btw, I requested for a higher floor with a good window view... but they were unable to grant it. I was assigned on the 7th floor which is too low and so-so for the view.
Before booking, I was torn if I will pursue Neill Wycik or book at AirBnb... Neill Wycik is lost cost but with free 5-item breakfast, while AirBnb is cheaper but without free breakfast. I opted for the one with free breakfast which okay, I guess...
Lastly, I hope they will indicate in their description that credit card is needed upon check-in... I do not have a credit card when I checked in.. Fortunately, I brought one of my debit cards.
