    Nabua Lodge is a good choice for budget accommodation in the Yasawa Islands. There are about 10 Bures and a dorm building on the property, but they were never more than half full during our whole visit. Apparently this is not intentional but due to the owner's booking agent's failure to maximize the bookings on websites like Agoda. Not great for the owner but it does make it a very quiet, peaceful place to stay for guests. The Bures are clean, spacious and airy. The mattresses are old and springy, not in a good way, so not the most comfortable. The owner has been very progressive in installing solar panels and rainwater collection so there is power most of the day and clean drinking water that we drank every day with no problems. Occasionally there is hot water, but most of the time not. Free snorkel equipment and kayaks available. The organized Blue Lagoon island snorkel tour is 80 FJD pp and the boat trip to the Sawa-i-lau caves is 120 FJD pp, both are well worth the money. No activities on Sundays. Compulsory meal plan is 60 FJD pp per day, and good value. The food is fresh and quite tasty, there is always vegetables or salad and some protein. A mix of pastas, stirfry or curry dishes and traditional Fijian foods. We stayed for 5 days with very little repetition of meals. We didn't bother with the wifi because the cell reception for Digicel worked well enough most of the time, though it fluctuated and wouldn't be strong enough to stream video or download/upload much. Lastly, the location is ideal for being quiet and close to the caves, but because of all of the beautiful coconut palms backing the narrow strip of beach, it's in the shade 90% of the time and the other 10% the tide is too low to swim, so not great if you're looking for a "sit on the beach" holiday. Great for sitting in hammocks next to the beach though.
