Montapberg Resort

Stayed for one night in a basic room with views of the mountain . The room was clean but the bathroom was wet with water on floor (possibly just washed but not dried). OK for short stay.

Staff cannot speak Thai or English, were not expecting us, lots of confusion. Very clean room. Parking area precarious. View poor because of bad air quality. peacful.

High but not on the edge of the hill. The hut overlooking to other hut in the front.

This resort is accessed by a potholed concrete single lane road but is passable with care. There is off road parking available. Not suitable for disabled people as there are 20-30 steps to cling to all rooms. We stayed in Unit 1. The living area and bedroom were as new and clean. It was stated daily housekeeping but we received none. We had to collect our own towels at reception or not change them. The staff could barely talk Thai and no English. Breakfast consisted of beaad,toast with cheap margarine and rice soup which wasn't there as stated between 0700 and 1000 although on our last day it was available. The is no fridge. No toiletries were supplied in the room. No toilet paper was in the bathroom. A small cheap packet of small hand tissues were supplied. All sockets are 2 prong only so and adaptor is needed for 3 prong. No complimentary tea,coffee, sugar or whitener were provided. No cup or saucer were provided only 2 small glasses. The bathroom was very dimly lit, incorrect wattage bulb. Again the room and bedroom were very clean and the views exemplary, mismanagement and the staff were disappointing. I did send a message through Agoda outlining my dissatisfaction. I did not receive a reply.
