This was the BEST hotel from the 7 hotels I stayed in Tokyo. What made this Number 1? Read on. The Good: 1) Location: 5 mins walk to Asakusabashi Station which is only 1 stop east of Akihabara Station. Good location to do shopping and sightseeing around Northeast and East of Tokyo. Although further up from Haneda than Ginza, you can take one train to get to the airport without transferring. But the subway train doesn't run to Haneda as frequently as regular trains so check the schedule. 2) Neighborhood: The whole area outside is where locals eat so you have tons of eatery options. There are Yakitori places, Chinese, stand-up Sushi place, noodles, rice, and even Turkish and Korean restaurants. This area is bustling at night and fun to walk around. There is also a supermarket nearby where you can get drinks and food much cheaper than 7-Eleven or FamilyMart. 3) Facilities: Clean and modern. Has a kitchen, refrigerator, coin laundry, and roomy common area. Internet is good and even your capsule has a personal ventilation/air. There are two wide refrigerators that you can use to store food/drinks and a large kitchen to make simple food. The Bad: NONE for me. I would definitely stay here again, especially if I want to visit Akihabara to shop. However, if you don't like spending much time in Akihabara because it's too nerdy for you, then you might prefer other locations, depending on what your interests are. For Imperial Palace and tour of shrines, Asakusa and Ueno are better. To travel outside Tokyo, Tokyo Station is better. For shopping, somewhere between Shibuya and Ginza is better. For night life and don't mind paying premium, Shinjuku and Harajuku are better. For easy airport access, near Shimbashi Station is better. For finding cheaper lodging during high travel season, go north, from Ikebukuro to Nippori. I deliberately stayed all around the Yamanote line to get an understanding of the Tokyo layout.

This facility came in handy because my flight landed early and I needed somewhere to stay for just a few hours. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a Female dorm and a group of guys just sat and laughed and talked in our room the entire night and morning. I reached out to staff, but they did nothing. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re used to having privacy or even silence. I will admit that I thought this was a capsule hotel, and I did not have an issue with the bed but unfortunately the low price will bring several different crowds
