Many hotels in Japan are small but APA utilises the bottom of bed to store luggage and this is brilliant. I love the hospitality of staff.
As someone who spends a lot of time on Japan anime, game and pop culture, I love the proximity to Akihabara. It is also near direct line to Haneda airport through Asakusa line and direct line to Shibuya through Chuo line.

Excellent location with easy access to Akihabara (even walkable, or just 1 train stop away). Very convenient base for getting around Tokyo while still being slightly removed from the busiest areas. The standout feature was the extremely comfortable bed - the best of the entire Japan trip. Clean, efficient hotel stay with everything you need for short stays and city exploring.

This was a quiet area and we appreciated that. But there were still many shops and restaurants so we did not have to go far to get things we needed. There was a subway stop a couple of blocks away so we had quick access to get to anything further away. Room was small but comfortable and clean and we had everything we needed.
We didn't care for the hotel breakfast, but there is a great vegan cafe just around the corner that served delicious breakfast and lunch.

The location was very good — the hotel is situated right next to Asakusabashi Station, which made getting around very convenient.
The room is not suitable for two people.
Even after cleaning, it was often not properly clean and very dusty.
None of the hotel staff spoke English, which made communication difficult.
The breakfast was not varied and too expensive. There are many better options available in the area.
