If you are a first-time visitor to Istanbul, Sultanahmet might be a better base since it is right next to the major historical spots and has a quaint, bustling vibe. Taksim Square is more modern, focused mostly on big-brand shopping and close to Galata Tower, making it a very different type of stay.
The Highlights:
* Fantastic Breakfast: The absolute best part of the stay was the unlimited buffet spread—packed with delicious fresh breads, cheeses, olives, jams, juice, tea, and coffee.
* Warm Service: The staff were extremely sweet and polite throughout our stay.
* Convenience: There is a handy grocery store right next to the hotel, and the main road is easily accessible.
Things to Keep in Mind:
* Getting Around: The property sits about a 15-minute drive from Taksim Square (or a steep 20-minute walk to the bus stop). If you have heavy luggage, you'll definitely want to rely on Ubers or taxis rather than walking.
* Language Barrier: While the staff is eager to help, English is limited, so getting detailed tourist advice or local directions can be a bit tricky.
* Room Details: The rooms were clean and tidy, though a bit basic. The curtains let in quite a bit of light, the water taps were a little loose, and they provided small individual water cups instead of bottled water.
Overall, it’s a clean hotel with a great breakfast if you don't mind relying on Ubers to get around town!

It was a very good stay. The staff's were so kind especially Mr.Sekkan and Mr.Sina in reception are so kind and responosible. The room was really clean and nice.

We had paid for the new hotel rooms, but instead, they gave us rooms from the old hotel building. These rooms were far too small, and some of them had water leaks. We had booked four rooms in total. For the airport to hotel transportation, we paid 120 euros for a round trip, but they charged an additional 50 USD for the same service.
