Maes Manor is solely set up for weddings and other gatherings, not as a hotel. We were there midweek; there was a skeleton staff, bar was soulless with clueless servers (the concept of a slice of lemon or lime in a mixer was an entirely new one), the food was average at best, room was tired and dirty, with a terrible old mattress and badly fuctioning toilet. Breakfast was awful, condiments were the cheapest that could buy and everything deep fried. What was worse, the management couldn't care less. It's entirely set up for income from events and associated overnights by people who will never visit again. I certainly won't.

I was put in a room with broken floor tiles and a smashed damaged glass shelf, the tv was so small you couldn’t see the picture, walls to one side of the room needed repainting and the room was in need of updating, had to be moved, the staff needs retraining, and the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Would never stay there again
