We were travelling North and this hotel just outside Peebles was fantastic for a stop over. It was clean, the room was well stocked with tea and coffee and the rural setting was relaxing. The staff were fabulous, very friendly and informative. Breakfast was first class. I would recommend.

I enjoyed thoroughly out stay, beautiful location. The room was excellent, staff could not be more helpful. Enjoyable and relaxing particularly if you have a golf partner. Planning several stays over next year so hopefully one person month.

I enjoyed my stay, the facilities are really good, gym, sauna, steam room, pool. Food was decent and the staff were friendly. Lifts weren't working.

The hotel, while set in beautiful surroundings, feels tired—more like a missed opportunity than a premium retreat. The room was dated, the TV offered only four channels, and surprisingly, there was no phone, which made basic communication difficult. For a hotel positioned at this price point, that’s not just inconvenient—it’s misaligned with expectations.
The spa, a core part of the hotel’s appeal, was only partially open. This wasn’t clearly communicated at booking, which made the experience feel more like a let-down than a luxury. Perhaps most disappointing was the lack of support or warmth from the staff—what could have been made better through a helpful attitude was instead compounded by indifference.
