I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Level Chicago Fulton Market. I drove several hours to Chicago and expected a clean, comfortable room. Instead, I found bugs in my room and blood/stains on the bedding, which made me very uncomfortable and concerned about bringing bugs home with me.
I reported the issue and had to change rooms around 4–5 AM, even though checkout was at 11 AM. The replacement room also had an unpleasant smell, so I barely had an opportunity to rest comfortably.
There were additional issues with parking, unexpected charges/taxes that were not clearly explained to me beforehand, and poor communication after checkout. I was told I would receive follow-up within 24 hours, but I did not receive the communication I was expecting.
For the amount I paid and the reputation of the property, I expected much better cleanliness, communication, and customer service. This was my first stay here and unfortunately a very disappointing experience. I believe a full refund is reasonable considering everything that occurred during such a short stay.
