Le Charmant Hotel

We booked Le Charmant for our first trip to Paris, and unfortunately, the location at **53 Rue du Landy, 93400 Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine** was not what we had expected. The area felt quite different from the Paris we had imagined, and we personally did not feel very comfortable walking around, especially at night. This is not the property’s fault at all, but rather something we should have researched better before booking. As first-time visitors to Paris, we realized afterward that we really wanted to stay somewhere more central. We only stayed for a few hours before deciding to move to a more central location, so this review is mainly about our experience during those few hours and our communication with the hotel. The hotel itself was lovely. The reception team was **very warm, friendly, and welcoming**, and the online communication was excellent. They were very responsive, professional, and helpful throughout. There was also a small issue with our payment: we were initially charged an additional **€50 on top of the first-night price**. When we contacted the hotel by email, they explained that it had been a mistake and promptly refunded the extra €50. We really appreciated how professionally and transparently they handled this. Our room had a beautiful **classic, traditional style**, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom and room were clean. The facilities were also good. The classic design is a matter of personal taste — for us, the positioning of the bed and the traditional furniture and old photographs felt a little unusual, but it was certainly charming in its own way. We did notice some dust in the hallways, although the room itself was clean and comfortable. Most importantly, I want to emphasize that **our disappointment was with the location and our own expectations, not with the hotel or its staff**. They were doing their best and were genuinely kind, responsive, and professional throughout our communication. For anyone who is comfortable staying in this area, I would definitely recommend the hotel for its welcoming team and classic atmosphere. For first-time visitors to Paris who want to explore the main sights and have a more central experience, I would simply recommend checking the location carefully before booking.

Lovely place with a lot of quirk and personality. Very clean and comfortable. Only comment— I stayed on a Friday and there was a birthday party with loud music until 2am. Otherwise, it was wonderful.
