I would recommend this place if you’re okay with a busy environment since it is located near the street. The good thing is, you can really save money because it’s close to many establishments, and Sai Kaew Beach is within walking distance.
They also offer free coffee and biscuits available anytime, which is a nice bonus. Breakfast is included, and considering the affordable room rate, it’s definitely a good deal.
The only issue we experienced was with the toilet bowl in our room, but our family just managed it during our stay.
Overall, it’s a practical and budget-friendly choice, especially for families who want convenience and easy access to everything.

This hotel is great for many reasons. Not only does it offer good value for money, the location is excellent too. Most importantly, the staff at this hotel are some of the loveliest people I had the pleasure of meeting. I injured my hamstring in a boating accident and the hotel staff were so kind by going above and beyond to help me. Transportation to the pier, assistance in getting around and they helped arrange medical assistance. I cannot recommend them enough. Would be back as soon as I can!

Kala Krang Neung is well located, just a short walk from the pier if you’re travelling with light luggage. It’s also within easy reach of the beach, 7-Eleven, and a good selection of restaurants, making it a convenient place to stay.
For the price, it offers fair value, especially considering accommodation costs on Koh Samed. That said, my room wasn’t exactly what I had expected from the online photos, so it’s worth keeping realistic expectations when booking.
The room didn’t include a kettle, although hot water was available and coffee was provided with breakfast. The property has a laid-back, homely atmosphere rather than the feel of a traditional hotel or bed and breakfast.
A few things future guests may want to know: the walls are quite thin, light from the neighbouring room was visible through a glass panel, and upper-floor rooms are only accessible by stairs.
Overall, the room was generally clean, the location is excellent, and if you’re looking for an affordable place to stay in Koh Samed without expecting luxury, this is a practical option.
