Istanbul Hotel Suite

This was by far the most disgusting and horrifying hotel stay I have ever experienced. I had to change rooms twice because the smell in each one was unbearable—it was as if something had died in there. After being moved to a third room, I realized there was no point in complaining to the receptionist, as all the rooms seemed to be in the same horrible condition. Unfortunately, the smell was just the beginning. The rooms were filthy: the floors were sticky, the bed sheets were stained and covered in hair and makeup, the pages of the food menu were stuck together, and the towels had clear traces of mold. The TV remote didn’t work, ants were crawling in the bed, the toilet was dirty and moldy, and the walls were so thin I could hear everything happening in the other rooms. Also a housekeeper began cleaning the room next to mine at 2 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. The most disturbing part of all was when I turned on the jacuzzi jets—some black gunk, confetti, and rose petals came shooting out. Thankfully, I wasn’t in the tub at the time. I’ve included a photo, and I wish I could upload videos as well, but unfortunately, the website doesn’t support that feature. This stay was quite expensive, but regardless of the price, the conditions in this hotel are unacceptable and present a serious health hazard to all guests.
