Within a few hours drive from Cape Town, so it's great for a quick trip if you're based in Cape Town for most of your trip. The optional cheetah encounter was a plus, though it was definitely manicured in a controlled enclosure-type of environment.

Everything was organised very well, the rooms were cleaned twice a day and the food was exceptional. The only thing is that the safari could feel a bit underwhelming for an experienced user of safaris. But would be great if you’re just being introduced to it. We met people on the site that liked it quite a lot (them being on a safari for the first time). I would also add that the territory is pretty big for the amount of animals there and most of time would e spent on the road driving to the animals. However we managed to see: - the 2 out of 3 lions (which are being fed and don’t hunt) - the 3 elephants - buffalos - Giraffes - zebras - antilope gnu and a few other antilopes - ostriches

Inverdoorn Game Reserve is further away from its sister game reserve, Aquila which meant less tourists / people which was nice. Rooms were average, felt it was a little pricey for what you got but it could also be due to the high season. Game drives were informative, not a great variety and quantity of wildlife. Lions and cheetahs were the main attraction. Most memorable experience was watching a zebra give birth on the reserve!
