    Overall great experience as you would expect from Intercontinental hotels. Great service from *** at reception, *** at Sora & Umi restaurant, and *** from Lava - everyone else was great too but just to note a few memorable people we interacted with. Room was spacious and clean, turndown service was frequent so it’s almost always fresh whenever you get back to your rooms after a day out. Really appreciated the soaps and lotions available in the room - as a woman I seriously appreciated the shampoo and conditioner available especially after spending all that time in the water at the beach, and even after riding on the motorbike. It got all the gunk out and left my hair feeling fresh and not dried out. We got the room with breakfast + dinner. Good to note that they consider it a half board so it’s breakfast + lunch or dinner, up to you. The lunch/dinner is claimable at Sora & Umi (same place where you have the breakdown buffet) and Sea Shack (restaurant by the beachfront). Sora & Umi does really good local food for lunch/dinner I highly recommend (pho, ban xeo, spring rolls etc) Portions were huge and delicious. Sea shack is more international & asian cuisine (burger, quesadillas, curry, kung pao chicken, nasi goreng). The lunch/dinner includes 1 starter + 1 main + 1 dessert per person and you’d only have to pay for the drinks ordered. Quite worth it. Sea Shack is nice for the view + live band at night but i would rather have the food at Sora & Umi. Lava, the fine dining restaurant, is not included in the half board but is a good experience if you like nicer restaurant quality food. Paid around SGD215 for 2 starters + 2 mains + 2 desserts + 2 glass of wine. Worth the money as the food was well prepared and service was excellant. Oysters were fresh and big, highlight of my meal at Lava. You get access to Long Beach when you stay at this resort, think this was the highlight of our stay. Compared to the beaches you get on Phu Quoc, this beach was serene, clean, very few boats in the water (even if there were, they were pretty far out, not like in Sao/Khem beach). Great place to do water activities. They had jetski, parasailing, paddle boards & kayaks available for rent (paid, not included). They have beach chairs and sunbeds available, was never too crowded, pretty chill. The beach is shared with Regent resort next door, they have their own section so it’s not a problem. Only unfortunate thing was that Regent had sailboats available and my partner really wanted to rent it but they didn’t allow us cos you have to be Regent guests :((( hope Intercontinental can get a sailboat in the future. Resort had free activities but other than pilates/yoga in the morning, all other activities were for kids. Would prefer if there were some things for youths/adults. Biggest and maybe the only complain I have about the stay is that the resort spa is REALLY expensive. Ridiculous prices, even for the Intercontinental in my opinion. Ranges from VND 1.8 - 3.5 million per person depending on the treatment you choose. The sauna is free to use but you have to make bookings way in advance as it gets booked pretty fast. Tip for those planning to rent a motorbike while staying here in Phu Quoc, the carpark is at the foot of the resort and you have to walk a slope up to the main lobby (3-4 minutes walk). Not an issue but just be aware of that. The roads are really dusty and there’s a lot of construction, still accessible and safe by bike but maybe not for inexperienced riders.

    We had very recently stayed a few weeks ago at Intercontinental, Phu Quoc, where we enjoyed a fantastic 4 night stay. Very friendly, prompt and helpful staff. So, in sharp contrast this stay despite taking a Club Executive Suite, with the Club on the same floor. The desk at the Club were so impersonal, especially ***, who is completely uncooperative and seems to have learnt only how to NO
