    I’ll start with the positive part: the hotel allowed us to keep our luggage in the waiting area after checkout because we had to visit Kamakhya Temple. Since we were expecting to return late, this was genuinely helpful. Now about the disappointing experience: This property needs a lot of maintenance. • The geyser was not working, so we had to take a bath with cold water in winter as we were getting late for darshan. • The room was not properly ventilated, and the window had no mosquito mesh. • The bathroom had no exhaust fan. • The blankets were yellowish and didn’t look clean. • The mattress springs were loose, making it uncomfortable. • The staff’s behaviour was careless and unbothered. At night, I waited 15 minutes for my bill, but they said it would be cleared at checkout. In the morning, I requested the reception person to confirm the amount as I was already late. He said “yes” and then went back to sleep. Again, I had to wait another 15 minutes at checkout — very irresponsible behaviour, especially when guests are in a hurry. If you are planning to visit Kamakhya Temple and want a comfortable stay, it’s better to avoid this hotel. Their attitude might be because of their location near the railway station, but that shouldn’t come at the cost of basic hospitality.
