Firstly, there is a lot to like about this hotel. The design is genuinely ambitious and if you like mid century touches like me then this place delivers especially the Le Corbusier furniture and the framing of the windows. Secondly, the location is superb for the Salto de Gitano. I enjoyed seeing the Vultures circling mid morning from the terrace - truly magnificent. However, as previous guests have commented, the hotel does require some investment now from its owners. Some of the slate is worn in places, the carpets need to be renewed and the gym could do with some free weights given the expectations of a modern traveller. For example, there is a Padel court but the hotel doesn’t offer racquet hire which is clearly a lost opportunity for such a small investment, However, I would recommend this place. It has character, a wonderful pool and friendly, local staff. Important part of the local tourism ecology but with some investment it could be better.
