    The hotel facilities and most of the staff are fine except in the dining hall. They hardly smiled. I was scared talking to them.

    The hotel room is spacious and clean, but the facilities are old. The breakfast is okay. There are many kinds of food, so you can definitely get full. However, the taste is just average. It matches the standard of a 4-star hotel. Free parking is available here, so it is great for guests driving their own cars. If you drive down the mountain from the hotel, you will reach Lake Yamanaka. There are many white swans by the lake. You can search for “Shiratorihama” to find this spot. I recommend two restaurants: Shoya (郷土料理 庄ヤ) and Taiho (大豊). There is also a supermarket nearby called Ogino (オギノ Yamanakako store). You can buy discounted dinner there.
