The hotel is in a good location, it’s right near the arrival platform for trains and is short walking distance to the bus stop going to Machu Picchu & the plaza to book tickets.
Unfortunately the hotel has some challenges. The double rooms we initially received had problems such as lack of power outlets & leaky toilet. Eventually both of our groups had our rooms reassigned so it was an improvement, but the reality is that this is a bit of a dated building. One positive is that they had breakfast starting at 5am and the food was better than some of the other hotels we tried in Peru. Another positive of the hotel is the Wi-Fi, I felt the speeds were good enough and there was cable TV in the room.
For those needing the overnight stay, if you’re on a budget this hotel works for you. If you want something nicer, you may consider looking around.
