The location was really good, one street from the beach. Staff was very friendly and we received very personalised service. Room was on smaller size, but we were aware when we made the booking.

The good: bathroom was modern and the bed comfortable The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English, which I greatly appreciated because my French is terrible. The cons: parking is down the street in a parking garage for $23 Euros per day and three is no loading zone to drop off your bags without double parking. Only Earl Grey and green tea bags in the room (no English Breakfast.). The photos are much better than the actual facility. But for the price it was a nice place.

We were looking for a two night stay in Nice on the front end of a two week trip to France. Hotel De France was a great decision. Rooms were small but the kids had their own room with bunk beds which they loved! We spent the majority of our time exploring the beautiful city and the location was in a great centralized location within walking distance to the Old Town area via a lovely street bustling with shops and restaurants. Quick walk to the Promenade and beach. If you are looking to spend a lot of time in your room there are probably better options but for us, this hotel was perfect and within budget. Staff was great and facilities were clean. Would definitely return to Hotel De France for short trips exploring Nice

This hotel is 2 star or 1. The bathroom smelled so badly of sewage. We asked for a different room and were told the hotel was sold out. The room is really small and the carpet is stained. It is a backpacker hotel and more suitable for young people who are justo poking for a place to crash at night. We would never stay here again.
