The hotel would be fine for a solo traveler who isn't interested in luxury. The rooms are spacious, have AC and have natural light. They weren't noisy either. The big downside is that it didn't have hot water, and that the building is very old without good maintenance. Wouldn't likely make a good first impression on your mum.
