I booked Hôtel Birks expecting a seamless luxury experience, particularly quiet comfort and rest. Unfortunately, the final morning was completely disrupted when housekeeping began knocking loudly and rudely on our door at 9:00 AM to service the room—two full hours ahead of the scheduled 11:00 AM checkout.
Being startled awake early on a paid departure morning to clean a room that was still occupied was unacceptable for a property of this standard. Guests visit luxury properties for peace of mind, and this incident significantly undermined the stay.

I went to recharge and just enjoy the evening. My room was clean and staff were very friendly and polite. I love working out was not very impressed with the gym equipment. Also I couldn’t call from my room which was a bummer. Overall loved my experience. Always room to

The room was clean and spacious but far from luxury. You’re reminded by how dated and low quality things are from the moment you enter the bathroom, low quality highly synthetic smelling toiletries that reminded of something you’d get from a dollar store somewhere not even a drugstore brand.
The iron made a loud buzzing noise when plugged in.
The bed was ok in terms of firmness but the sheets and duvet will guarantee a sweaty night even with the AC set to 19 degrees C. The duvet cover is 100% polyester and sheets were 40% polyester and 60% cotton, something you’d never experience not expect at a five star hotel (I checked the label.)
I would not recommend it unless you expect to pay 5 star rates at a barely 3 star hotel. We were lucky we were only staying for one night before heading to a cottage.
The staff were respectful. The best service was given by the bell boy. He was kind, friendly and well trained in ensuring a seamless experience for guests.
