Hotel Benedicta

I have stayed here twice. 2022 and 2024. So obviously I liked it. However, I am easy to please. The rooms are spacious and clean. Both times I was on the street side. If city noise bothers you, maybe ask for the back...though I can't speak to the noise level in the back. The neighborhood is perfect. It would behoove one to study the neighborhood with a computer or pad to get perspective. Google maps does not always give the best directions. Now for the negative, although the rooms are clean, they really need to get new towels. It's incredibly cheap way to keep customers. Such a cheap investment for a great return. Honestly, I almost went out and bought a towel. I should have. To be objective, the beds are hard (this is not a negative for me). The pillows are also hard which is a drag for me. The staff are nice enough. Only one person speaks English fluently if that is a problem for you. It appeared to me that most of their customers are Spanish speaking actually. This hotel used to be owned independently. It was recently bought by a hotel group called Soy Local. I think they are still figuring things out. Oh, it's $150 pesos for breakfast.....pretty much the same one you can get down the street (on Marsella, on the left) for 90 pesos. If you like having coffee before even getting dressed, you will hate their coffee set up. They should have a coffee station on one of the upper floors, not just the lobby. This place is great if you get a discount. I paid $50 a night including tax and for that it can't be beat. You will not find a better deal. You just have to live with the negatives.

Its big, clean and hot. Ceiling fans are not suffricient to move the air on low setting and if you set them to high you cannot sleep due to the noise they make. Internet in the rooms were non-existent.
