    Nice hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was also reasonably priced at $21 with a good spread. Daily parking at $45 is worth it considering how expensive parking is in the city.

    Restaurant area is under renovation so breakfast time can be very packed and sometimes have to wait to be seated.

    The hotel is located between two subway stations, both about a 10-minute walk away. It is also close to several bus stops, making it easy to get to Granville Island, Canada Place, and other attractions. The main downtown shopping area is within walking distance as well. The amenities provided were quite good, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, individually packed makeup remover wipes, and cotton buds. The room itself was spacious enough, and the bed was comfortable for a good night’s rest. One unusual aspect was the layout of the hotel. To get to my room, I had to take a lift from Level 1 to Level 2, walk a short distance, then take another lift back down to Level 1. It was a bit confusing and inconvenient. While the location is excellent and transportation options are very accessible, both the room and hotel could benefit from some upgrades and refurbishment. One issue I encountered was the CAD50 security deposit for potential room damages. Even after one week following check-out, the hold on my card had still not been released, which was inconvenient. Overall, it is a conveniently located hotel with decent amenities and comfortable beds, but there is room for improvement in both the property condition and the handling of security deposit holds.

    The basic problem is Vancouvers hotels are stupid expensive and mostly not nice. The Holiday Inn was a typical Holiday Inn. Ok rooms and no frills. Although still very expensive for a Holiday Inn I would still recommend this hotel compared to many others in the area.
