Great area, but this is probably the worst hotel I've stayed in. Think circa 1960's hotel that hasn't had a dollar spent on it since. If all you need is a bed, this is for you. Nothing else good about the hotel other than a good location.

Not a nice place for the amount we paid. Furnishings looked like they consisted of what people put at the end of their driveway with a "free" sign. Pictures looked so much better than the actual building. Staff were fine. I guess clean enough, but we paid over *** for a night after taxes and parking (shudder) were included. It was more like a place where people stay when they get out of jail, and are trying to get back on their feet. I guess it did the trick, but I feel ripped off.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the English Bay Hotel. Very well located. Lots of food eateries nearby.

The location is perfect with reliable Wi Fi and consistent hot water. However, the cleanliness and housekeeping left much to be desired and the facilities were lacking with amenities that were so old and not being accessible. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the value for money felt a bit off given these drawbacks.
