This is a very good hotel. It has a wonderful, big pool area w/hot tubs and plenty of fresh towels.There are tables and seating everywhere. It's got a nice, little games area next to the pool w/ping pong and pool tables, air hockey, and a section w/pin ball games, although not all of them were working. Breakfast items were abundant in the buffet; hot food choices were different each morning. There was a waffle station at one end and fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal at the other. Additionally, there was an assortment of fruit juices, flavored water, and coffee. The rooms were spacious and clean; beds were very comfortable and our room was quiet. The air conditioner in our room stopped working on our last night around midnight. The on-duty desk agent offered to move us to a room next door, but w/2 dogs, 3 adults, and all of our stuff, we decided to stay put. In lieu of changing rooms, the desk agent removed the $75 pet fee from our bill. We opened our window, turned on the fan, and were comfortable enough.
My one complaint: I called ahead several hours before check-in time on our first day. We travel w/dogs and wanted a room on a low floor, near an exit door. My dogs are afraid of elevators and I have difficulty walking up/down stairs. As a result, the nice desk agent I spoke to found us a room on the 1st floor near an exit. When we arrived at the hotel several hours later, the on-duty desk agent said there weren't any rooms available on the 1st floor and she'd been the only person working the desk for hours! Without saying so, she implied we weren't being truthful about the first phone call. She insisted several times that she'd been the only person on duty, and answering the phone, during that time. We showed her the cell phone info (and time) of the call. She then stated that there'd been a new employee on duty, who left about that time - and that employee probably didn't know how to record the info into their system, and she didn't leave a note or info for anyone else! It was obvious that the desk agent we were looking at had likely given our reserved room to someone else, and was now blaming the error on a "new employee."
