    My stay at Hotel Gloria Almaty was extremely unpleasant and stressful. Despite having a confirmed prepaid booking, the hotel staff refused to honor the agreed price when I arrived for check-in. My wife and I were kept waiting for several hours at the reception while the staff repeatedly claimed that the booking amount was incorrect. Instead of resolving the issue with the booking platform, they pressured us to cancel the reservation and tried to force us to pay extra money at the counter. After a long and exhausting wait, and with no other option late in the evening, we were essentially forced to pay an additional 152,250 KZT just to check in. This behavior felt unfair and completely unprofessional. What made the situation worse was: • No clear explanation for the price change • Extremely poor customer service • Making guests wait for hours after a long journey • Trying to shift their internal pricing issue onto the customer A hotel should respect confirmed bookings and treat guests with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, this experience did the opposite and caused significant inconvenience and stress for us. I strongly recommend that future travelers be cautious when booking this property, as confirmed reservations may not be honored at the agreed price.
