كنت أرغب في الحصول على غرفة مطلة على المسبح أو الشارع، ولكن تفاجأت عند الوصول بأن الغرفة كانت مطلة على جدار. وبعد التواصل مع الفندق مرة أخرى، تم تغيير الغرفة لي، وأشكرهم على تجاوبهم. كما واجهت مشكلة في الماء الساخن، حيث كنت أضطر في كل مرة إلى التواصل مع الفندق لتشغيل السخان. وبشكل عام، الفندق ممتاز والخدمة جيدة، وأتمنى فقط معالجة هذه الملاحظات لتحسين تجربة النزلاء.

I stayed for one night and left feeling rather disappointed. First, during check-in, the front desk did not proactively provide basic information such as breakfast hours. For a hotel that promotes "heartfelt hospitality," this felt like a surprisingly basic detail to overlook. Second, I found the hotel's layout quite confusing. To reach the guest rooms from the check-in area, guests must walk through the pool area. On the day of my stay, staff were cleaning around the pool, and the floor was wet. However, there were no warning signs indicating a slippery surface, which resulted in me slipping and falling. What was even more surprising was that no staff member approached me afterward to check whether I was injured or needed assistance. I later informed the staff that the area was slippery and that warning signs should have been placed there. Although I did notice that warning signs were eventually put up, throughout the entire incident not a single staff member said a word to me, whether to express concern, apologize, or simply check if I was okay. The following morning, I happened to see the GM along with his two managers or assistants during breakfast, so I took the opportunity to share what had happened the day before with the assistant/manager. Their response gave me the impression that they did not consider it a matter worth serious attention. While this may seem like a minor incident for an international traveler, it could be a much more sensitive situation for a conservative local female guest, particularly given that the fall occurred in a public area facing the swimming pool. When I checked out later that day, I encountered the assistant/manager again and still received no follow-up whatsoever, not even a simple goodbye. After reporting a safety-related incident, I would have expected at least some acknowledgment, concern, or basic courtesy from the hotel management team. The hotel is certainly very new, which is an advantage compared to the neighboring Sheraton. Unfortunately, that advantage alone is not enough to make up for the shortcomings in service, guest care, and safety awareness. Considering that the Sheraton next door costs only slightly more, I would recommend spending those extra few riyals and staying there instead.
