Because I have stayed at Fimka Hotel before, it was not hard for me to find it. For those coming the first time, the streets may be a bit confusing, but the hotel is correctly marked on Google Maps. Cobblestone streets with gradients may be a challenge if you’re hauling luggage from the tram or metro station on foot.
The reception is manned around the clock, which is good. English is spoken, which is also good. There is a lift to rooms.
The room size was adequate. Lighting was good. Wifi was less than full strength but that did not prove to be any problem. Heating was good. There were sufficient electrical sockets, including beside the bed. However, one power outlet was loose and could not be relied upon. There was a desk, but no desk lamp. There was a mini-fridge, a kettle and sachets of coffee and tea.
The room was quiet. The bed was comfortable.
The bathroom was of adequate size with modern fixtures, all in good condition. Water pressure was good; hot water came through quickly. Drainage was good.
The breakfast at this hotel is what I like best. The buffet spread was extensive, with several hot options.
