    Great location, staff and renovated rooms. The only downside was our evening meal of 4 x fish and chips and the fact the fish were very small and the chips and mushy peas portions could have been bigger. It felt like they had 2 decent size fish but had to make them fit for 4 meals. Even the ramikins for the mushy peas were half full and they were not big anyway. So a silly mistake really but it makes a difference for 4 hungry people after a walk. Other meals looked good ie steak pie.

    Lovely hotel and great friendly owners. We stayed in this hotel to go to a friends wedding at the local castle. We struggled to get a taxi and spoke to the owner over the phone who suggested one of their regulars would be happy to give us a lift too and from the venue which was amazing. All were extremely friendly Thankyou for a great stay x
