To all the staffs of Dontrei Villa, Siem Reap, I had booked the honeymoon villa with private pool from 26 June 2026 till 1 July 2026. I began doing my homework before booking this villa as I wanted to celebrate my 25th Wedding anniversary with my wife. We both didn't want anything very fancy, something in a nature setting, away from the city area. Dontrei Villa caught my eyes and most of the reviews were positive. I went ahead and did the booking. The staff, Seanghor, I was liasing with regards to the booking via email was patiently answering my queries. The day came and we were at the villa checking in. I must say, I made the best choice for our 25th anniversary. So peaceful and quiet except for the sound from the nature. The whole place looked like a small village. What surprised me even further was the interior of the room. Though the outside looked like we are in a village in the midst of a forest, the interior still had the modern touch. Well maintained, very clean. We never experienced any insect bites or any disturbances from any unwanted creatures. You really didnt have to worry. On top of that, all the staffs were very polite and friendly. I had no complaints about anyone at all. We had an opportunity to meet our tuk tuk driver, Saret and our guide Pines. Saret ensured we were always brought back home safely after our nights out. Very obliging and extremely patient. Pines is really knowledgeable and his command of English was awesome. He explained everything in detail to us. And we learnt a lot from him. He was our guide to the Angkor Wat temple and the Kulen mountain, the thousand Linga and the reclining Buddha. First time to Siem Reap and we didn't regret it one bit. Both my wife and i are so glad to have chosen this destination and this villa to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We left with a lot of great memories and we hope to come back again one day. For those who are going up to the reclining Buddha temple, you will see some elderly, some mums with their young kids and some children on your way up. You can buy instant noodles, maybe a box which has 24 packets. You can also change 500 Riel notes at the some stores near the temple. On your way down, you can then give the noodle packet and money in your way down. Trust me, it is really fulfilling and you can see how they appreciate even if you just give them a packet of noodles each. My wife and I did both of this and it really made our day. So overall, and unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this place for couples as well families as they have villas for big families as well.

It’s quite far from the city but led it to quiet places and relaxing to stay. You still can book grab or rent a motorbike. Highly recommended
