My room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Sone areas of the hotel decor are neglected and tired looking. Considering how expensive my stay was, I was very unhappy about the lack of availability of water and refreshments in the room. This is a basic amenity in a hot country and would be enough for me not to return.

Lovely hotel fab food staff lovely beautiful setting

We stayed just 2 nights in the hotel, room allocated on arrival. The room was pleasant clean , small balcony facing the road. Shower great pressure but overflowing onto the floor. Mismatch furniture in the room. The reception staff were helpful. It was an older international clientele very few children a bit like gods waiting room. The entertainment both nights was good but very little atmosphere after it finished they put music on and a football game on the TV. Most people went to bed early. The pool bar closed at 6pm then if you wished a drink you had to go to the piano bar which in the hotel it was a bit of a walk from our room . The pool area had plenty of sunbeds and 2 heated pools. We tried the spa which was good although we were shocked when we were sitting in the jacuzzi and there was a shower in front of us and an older man removed his trunks and gave himself a good wash thankfully we only saw his bum. There are showers the locker room so I'm not sure what that was about. The food was the main let down, breakfast was good not English products but good choice. Lunch had a decent choice but it was cold. Dinner the choice was poor , again the food was cold, meat undercooked especially the chicken. I appreciate that it is difficult to please everyone but it was not appetising. We went at different times and the food was still not hot. The lunch restaurant did have a microwave but we couldn't see one at the dinner restaurant. It wasn't a terrible experience but I would not rush back and certainly wouldn't want to stay longer than a few days.

Good bits - Nice hotel in a nice place. Public places are clean, tidy, nicely decorated & modern. Lovely gardens & pool areas. Bad bits - pools are cold (I stayed in December & despite their claim the pools are heated - they are cold! No coffee/tea facilities in room nor any water. Surely everyone needs a drink when you wake up in the morning??? Facilities to make a drink in your room are an absolute must have. Food quality and choice at dinner has definitely gone down since my last stay in Jan. Lots of items were cold & left out too long. Also no coffee available in the dining room?!?! Surely a coffee after your meal at the table is not too much to ask? Staff also not very attentive - had to go and find them twice to get some water.
