    We had a great stay at Constantinopolis, the staff was friendly and the property was neat and clean. The breakfast buffet was good as well. To get from the hotel to the nearest tram station there is a steep street though.

    Constantinopolis Hotel is located within walking distance of all the attractions in Istanbul, staff are very attentive to all your needs, just be mindful if you are carrying a heavy luggage the hotel is a bit of downhill but easily accessible to the metro

    I’ve booked and paid for 2 standard rooms, but when I checked in the reception said that I was booking for 1 room only. I said but I’ve paid for 2 standard rooms (I kept telling him the standard room because it’s the one with window, and I was also aware about the scam). After he’s “checking” it again in his computer he said that he found 2 economy rooms under my name. I showed him the booking confirmation that I booked for standard room but he said it’s economy room in his system and maybe it’s the agents fault. I was resistance at the beginning but then he asked me about the price I’ve paid, but I paid in rupiah and not sure to convert the price to lira. At the end I gave up because I checked in at 8 PM and was traveling with a toddler. The other downside about the hotel was the electricity went out twice that night (I only stayed for one night) and if you’re traveling with a lot of luggages I don’t recommend you because the path was not made for traveler with suitcases. But the staff were very helpful. They helped us carrying our luggages.
