CHECK inn Select Tainan Yongkang

It serves what we aim for to be close to family as temp alternative accommodation. Would not say have a good facilities for older children, but overall is fine.

I enjoyed my stay at CHECK Inn Tainan YongKang. The interior design was great, I like the Chinese motifs throughout the hotel. The only issue - which was resolved was I specifically asked for a quiet room and was initially placed on the 12 floor near the washing machine… it was very loud. Luckily I called reception and they offered me another room. I honestly wouldn’t have been able to rest otherwise. The morning buffet was ok, basics were available but they didn’t offer tea… which is strange because the tea bags were right there. I’m not a coffee drinker so that was not ideal. Overall, clean environment, atmosphere was good, TV entertainment was limited but overall a good price for a good hotel. Additional information: This location is on a very busy road, apparently a lot of traffic during rush hours. There is food available nearby - not a lot of options but it’s ok if you’re on a short business trip. Thank you!

Unhappy with the disable room! Very very bad room.

Check-in Date: 9 September 2026 Room Number: 1225 Front Desk Staff Concerned: Ms. 吳采萱 Dear Hotel Management, We would like to formally provide feedback regarding an unpleasant front desk service experience during our stay. This is not our first time staying at your hotel. As returning guests, we have chosen your hotel again based on our previous experiences, which makes this incident particularly disappointing. We arrived at approximately 2:00 AM on 9 September 2026, and a male front desk employee assisted us with our check-in. During the check-in, we were informed that the checkout time was 11:00 AM. As we had only arrived at around 2:00 AM, we politely asked the male employee whether it would be possible for us to check out at 12:00 PM instead, just one hour later. The male employee replied that it was not possible. At that point, Ms. 吳采萱, another female front desk employee, joined the conversation and further stated that we could not check out at 12:00 PM and that an extension would require additional payment. We then politely asked whether they could check with the manager or person in charge to see if a one-hour complimentary extension could be considered, given that we had only checked in at around 2:00 AM. However, Ms. 吳采萱 immediately responded that there was “no need to ask the manager” because it was not possible and that we had to check out by 11:00 AM. This was the part of the interaction that left us particularly disappointed. We fully understand that the hotel has an official checkout time and that complimentary late checkout is not an entitlement. If management had been consulted and ultimately declined our request, we would have respected the decision. However, our concern is that when we specifically and politely asked whether management could be consulted, Ms. 吳采萱 dismissed the request immediately and stated that there was no need to ask. As returning guests, we find this approach disappointing. A simple request to check with the manager does not seem unreasonable, particularly when we were only requesting one additional hour after arriving at the hotel at approximately 2:00 AM. We travel frequently and stay at many hotels across Asia. We understand that every hotel has policies, but hospitality is also about how those policies are communicated and how reasonable guest requests are handled. We therefore hope management will review what happened at approximately 2:00 AM on 9 September 2026 involving Room 1225, including the interaction with the male front desk employee and, in particular, the subsequent response from Ms. 吳采萱. Again, we are not complaining simply because we were not granted a complimentary late checkout. Our feedback concerns the manner in which our request was handled and why our request to consult management was immediately rejected without even being considered. As guests who have stayed with your hotel before, this experience has unfortunately affected our impression of the service. Hotel policies should certainly be respected, but we believe good hospitality also means making a reasonable effort to assist a guest rather than simply saying, “There is no need to ask the manager.” We hope the management will take our feedback seriously, investigate the matter, and provide us with a proper response.
