We are very disappointed by the staff. The manager is only nice when you want to buy an overpriced tour from him. We found out that we overpaid quite a bit, even in his WhatsApp catalogue the price is indicated as much cheaper than we paid. Our request for another sheet as there is only a small day blanket in the room was completely ignored and when asking for options to travel to Cat Ba we also didn’t get a reply. The reception is not 24/7 but only during some hours. The breakfast is very small compared to other hotels in Vietnam and the staff in there is not doing anything except for sitting at a table and watching their smartphone. They rent out old dodgy scooters, ours broke down and after getting a replacement the second one also broke down after about 3km. The mattress is super springy and uncomfortable and instead of getting new coffee mugs ours where only put into the sink. All in all, the location is pretty good and there is potential if the rooms are upgraded but the staff really needs some serious training.
