The pros:
The room was spacious and the shower had hot water and decent pressure. The location was close to the centre of the city and the view was nice.
The cons:
It seems we stayed at a totally different hotel to the rest of the reviewers! Very little of what has been said was true, in our experience. There were quite a few small annoyances: there was no one around to speak to when we needed something (definitely no 24 hour reception), it took 24 hours to get a reply to a message sent on Agoda, the old man who gave us the key (we didn’t check in - first hotel to not check passports!), we had to pay for 3 nights in cash, the sofa bed was hard as a plank, the towels stank like cigarette smoke, there was no breakfast option at all, the room was not cleaned so we didn’t get fresh towels and the bin wasn’t emptied and we didn’t get more toilet paper, there was no complimentary water or tea/coffee……we were willing to overlook all of this since the rate was reasonable and we are not generally fussy. However, the following absolute dealbreakers made us leave after the second night instead of staying the full 3 nights. The air conditioner made an outrageous noise like bricks in a washing machine and it sounded like it was going to jump off the wall. It leaked so much water and dripped continuously. This made it very difficult for us to sleep. And then being woken up at 1am by shouting and extremely loud maintenance in the room next door was the last straw. I went out twice to ask them to stop making noise and this was blatantly ignored. They were supposedly cleaning the room because guests had just checked out and new guests were coming at 5am. How a hotel can think it’s acceptable to make such noise in the middle of the night is beyond me. Finally, after checking out a day early, nobody has even contacted us to ask why, showing a complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Oh, and we never got any cherries and the TV was just an empty bracket.
