Ojen is about an hour from Malaga, so we booked this Posada del Angel in Ojen for our last night in Spain as an alternative to staying in Malaga. It worked out well (if you have a car).
Pros: it is a well maintained hotel in old house which gives it the homey flavor that you can also find in other "casa rurals" in Andalusia. Large free parking nearby with free hotel pick up (you can also walk but it would be uphill). Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Served breakfast to the table (no buffet) which is nice for a change (BF with all the options you want).
Cons: Our room (#1) was on the groundfloor looking out in the courtyard of the restaurant, so we felt compelled to close the curtains for privacy reasons. In the room there was no place to comfortably sit (apart from 1 chair) - also not on the bed, as you cannot rest your back against the wall because there is a low "table" between the head of the bed and the wall. Mattress seems shorter than usual. Internet was terrible, but we were told that this had to do with the weather. The rest was fine. Ojen itself has little to offer for a tourist, as one can expect from a village.
All in all: this is a fine place to stay. I had the impression that more attention was given to make everything look nice, in some instances at the expense of some of the comfort (such as sitting in the room).
