Bonatogether in Haeundae Residence

We traveled as a group of four and originally booked a family room with one queen bed and one single bed. We asked if it would be possible to have two queen beds instead, but since that wasn’t available, the staff kindly upgraded us to a loft room. They were extremely helpful and accommodating, which we really appreciated. The hotel facilities were great, and the room was clean, comfortable, and free of any cigarette smell. We did notice some cigarette smoke in the hallway during housekeeping hours, but by the time we returned in the evening, the smell was completely gone and it never bothered us in the room. The location was also very convenient for sightseeing. Sanxian Mountain, Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, and Penglai Pavilion were all nearby, as well as a shopping mall. Penglai Pavilion and the shopping mall were even within walking distance. The sea was also just a short walk away, which was perfect for a relaxing stroll. Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay, and we especially appreciated the staff’s kind and thoughtful service. I would definitely stay here again!

I was fooled by the 5 star rating on Google. This place was poorly maintained and dirty. There was fresh cigarette ash on the table when I checked in, not to mention a burnt cigarette mark on the table. Plug to the lamp was broken. Mold on the curtains. I was originally excited for the balcony view but the balcony windows were extremely dirty and murky so I didn’t even use it. Sofa had tons of stains. The desk in the bedroom also was very rundown. Overall the cleanliness and hygiene needs ton of improvement.

Room 2605 ** 1/5 — DO NOT RECOMMEND. The photos do not reflect the actual room. This was one of the most disappointing accommodations we have stayed at in Busan. The room was dirty, poorly maintained, and clearly not presented honestly in the listing photos. We found hair in the bathroom, an old/used toothbrush left behind, dirt/sand-like debris on the walls, and stains on the chair/seat. The room immediately gave us the impression that it had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. But the towel situation was by far the most unacceptable part of our stay**. We were given what were essentially tiny face towels instead of proper bath towels. We contacted the host and specifically requested larger towels. We were told they would be provided, but we waited approximately two days and still did not receive adequate towels. We were out sightseeing all day and would return to the room expecting the issue to have been resolved, only to find that it hadn't. We were traveling with two young children, including a baby, so having basic necessities like proper towels is not something we should have had to repeatedly ask for. Having to use tiny towels to dry ourselves and our hair after showering was ridiculous. The room itself also looked nothing like what we expected from the listing. The TV was positioned facing a wall, there was a small stained seat underneath it, and the overall condition was much worse than what the photos suggested. What makes this even more frustrating is that we actually contacted the property during our stay and gave them the opportunity to fix these problems. Unfortunately, the issues were not properly resolved. A bad room is one thing, but poor cleanliness, inadequate basic amenities, and ignoring a guest's repeated request for proper towels for days is completely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend that future guests look carefully at recent reviews and manage their expectations before booking. I personally would not stay here again.
