Wonderful owners. Kind family. I appreciated their hospitality. Great location for Nestival attendees.

During the rainy season, the road down to the hostel turns into more of a river, and even the tuk tuk from the port couldn't make it, leaving us to walk then last few minutes in the pouring rain.
The room itself is clean and comfortable and the staff were really helpful, giving us a kettle, renting us a scooter (which they kindly took up the "road" for us) and letting us check out late as our ferry off the island was at 5:30pm.
There are several restaurants and hostels nearby, however they were mainly empty or closed in the season. It is then around a 20 minute walk (along beach or through jungle) to either of the closest villages. It is however very close to the Nestival site if that's what you're there for.

This hostel is good value for the price. The facilities are basic, but good enough to have an enjoyable stay. I would recommend staying here if going to Nestival as its a super close walk. What made this hostel a stand out for me is the staff- the owner and his family are incredibly kind and friendly, they looked after me when I got unwell and I appreciate it very much.

My take on Blue Zone is mainly the location and the road to get there. You’re better off walking in or having a ATV. The accommodations were ok. Got checked in by an 8 yr old. Never saw the owners, had to ask for clean towels, no shampoo or soap. At least the beds were decent. As a host myself these are things I would suggest… Pick up from the pier. It was hard to find. Toiletries, fresh towels, instant coffee and tea, cleaning the rooms daily, etc. it’s the little things that keep people coming back.
