I have stayed here twice and enjoyed it both times. Understand the pros and cons and you will too. "Cheap and cheerful" is what you should know. Pro 1) the hostel room has about 5 bunk beds, with curtains. 2) AC is on 24/7 so you can sleep if you are jet lagged. 3) the signs "suggest" 24/7 quiet time and no food in the dormitory. 4) there are window screens throughout the building, so mosquitoes are minimal. 5) there are lounge spaces with big tables. Hardly anyone uses them, but you can eat there or do laptop stuff 6) for female travellers, there is separate area for women showers and toilets. And i did hear the staff tell a male guest they used the wrong bathroom, so, good job to the staff for enforcing rules. 7) cctv cameras, so if there is any issue, they can probably look. 8) staff is friendly and wants to solve problems, but i don't think they are pushovers. If you are very picky and confrontational, don't stay here. CONS 1) a few people (locals and travellers) will talk on their phones, listen to youtube, and eat food (smells). In the dorm. Mostly, it is under 20 minutes and not super loud. 2) thai culture is pretty non-confrontational, so i don't confront and don't see others guests confront. 3) snoring (normal hostel risk) 4) stairs, both in the building, and on the 10 minute walk to DMK airport. If you have big luggage, it will be a chore. OTHER 1) the hotel, it does sell and serve food. about thb 50-150. 7-eleven is a 3 minute walk away. Local market (almost zero english) is even closer 2) i think they can deal with 3am arrivals. But you should message them. Staff sleep downstairs at the front desk. (i saw them wake up at 5am on 1 day) 3) shared bathrooms are very clean in my opinion, but others might think differently. Mopped 1 or 2 times a day. Top 20% of hostels clean, but not too 5%. 4) if something is missing, like toilet paper or soap, you sometimes have to ask. Staff aren't constantly proactively checking. I love this place. I will stay again. I have also stayed in a private room, which was great and had none of the dorm issues.

It is decent but there are other hostels just as good closer to the airport if that's what you need. This one is comfortable enough. The staff are quite grumpy. The bathroom is quite a hike from the dormitory. Not easy to go to the toilet in the middle of the night.
