    I was here for a long stay and spent my time at ET budget guesthouse nearby , they are owned and run together. They are just across from the beach , you couldn’t really get any closer however a line of restaurants on the beach spoils the view. Attentive staff , clean simple rooms at reasonable prices , no problems really.

    We were offered alternative accommodation at their other property, at no.47, E.T. Budget Guest House. We like to stay at family owned businesses whenever possible and this place fit the bill, run by 2 sisters and their brother. Very accommodating and friendly. Location couldn't be better, with beach right across from the property. Beware the festivities run by the restaurants along the beach, unless that's what you're looking for. We're thrifty travellers and only require a clean room/beds and a private bathroom/shower which this place provided.

    Mostly a good refuge. The staff were great and supplied me with a plug converter and a water boiler, very seamless check in and check out. I did have to relocate two large cockroaches, on different days, I'm not even sure how they got in because I had everything closed up all the time. And if you like to go to bed early, find another spot. Fireworks until past midnight sometimes. Also a general warning for women traveling alone there, it's not the safest location. A bit of harassment on the beach and a bit by the restaurant staff. The owner also let someone know which room was mine because they were a local that looked feminine, and they knew my name, which I thought generally is off limits for hospitality staff to disclose regardless. Led to a very uncomfortable conversation but luckily I didn't have to slam the door in their face to get them to leave. But really if you have a partner or are a man, it's a great spot with the basic necessities at a very reasonable price! And really easy bus access to both the national park and Georgetown. Mostly exactly what I was looking for, with, you know, some qualifiers.
