It is our 2nd time back Environment was perfect with our dog - big bed, kettle and 2 coffee sachets good value for money. Not so good : We had a standalone unit B1 it is older and can do with bit of TLC - cleaning/ or changing of the refrigerator rubber seals ( there is dirt on the door edges - repainting of wall - wiping down of the concrete wardrobe base - issues with ants ( big and small from out in garden crawling up the walls and doors into the room ( they bite) - depending on the type of guests , last time we saw a guests from china eating durians and throwing the durian husk and seeds on the garden ground where other guests and pets walk, and park our cars. Restaurant As there are many arrivals after 5pm it will be good if the cafe can open till least 7pm instead of 8-5pm as there is no eatery around.

Great stop off for anyone travelling to or from the islands. We’ve been several times.

I chose to stay here specifically for a private standalone bungalow to ensure peace and quiet, as I am a light sleeper. I also needed a room with parking next to the unit for convenience when unloading belongings. These were the main reasons for my booking. However, upon arrival, I found that the air conditioning was not cooling, making it impossible to rest. I had to stay in a hot room, which is a basic issue that the hotel should have checked before assigning it to guests. The hotel offered two alternatives: 1) A smaller room in the main building, with parking in front but no shade 2) A smaller semi-detached bungalow, without parking next to the room Out of necessity, I chose the room in the main building to stay close to my car. However, once inside, I found that the room had no soundproofing at all. I could clearly hear noise from neighboring rooms and from above, making it impossible to rest. I had to request another room change. After speaking with the manager, the hotel offered a larger room, which I had no choice but to accept just to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, the new room also had poor soundproofing, and at around 2 AM, loud noise from the neighboring room made it impossible to sleep. Overall, I had to change rooms twice and spent approximately 3 hours dealing with this issue before finally settling into a room. During this time, I had to endure a hot room with a malfunctioning air conditioner, which directly affected my health and ability to rest. This experience was extremely disappointing. The issue was caused by the hotel’s own failure, yet the handling was unprofessional and required the guest to repeatedly move and try different rooms. In standard hotel practice, if a room has a problem, the hotel should immediately provide a room of equal or higher standard (upgrade). Instead, I was offered inferior options and had to go through multiple relocations. While I understand that issues can occur, the way this situation was handled was clearly below acceptable standards and requires urgent improvement.
