To start with Asta is not a Hotel or Resort, it’s six rooms home. By seeing gallery in Agoda we get confuse it’s a five star hotel or resort but in reality it is a home built around 4,000 Sft, only two car parkings, only 3 members staff. No scenic view. But rooms are decent not worth for they charge because you are staying almost 15 kms away from Ooty as good as as you are staying somewhere else. If somebody doesn’t want to go to Ooty can stay here. The management approach looks like old fashioned proprietary style need to change to Corporate style.

They absolutely have mastered how to ruin a couples getaway. Starting with the room - firstly the hotel reception is 100 mt away that too on a dangerous downhill curve and is with mount and most group and they don’t tell you this in advance . Next the food - we ordered at 8pm and they delivered at 10 pm but initially they said order will come in 30 mins . So we didn’t even go outside and waited for the food - which is decent in taste except for the daal. Next - the washroom light didn’t work and they said electrician will come next day and it didn’t come. When we tried to sleep - the fan didn’t work and was making noises they have those fancy remote controlled fans which don’t even provide basic service. Also don’t go by the photos the view is shit and the lawn is not private to you the other room person can access it but they mentioned that other person won’t be using it. What’s the point of a bathtub in the room when I can’t even open curtains. Next day I had asked for some decor and cake as a surprise and was closely following up with them that I’ll arrive to the room by 6pm - the decor was done in front of us and surprise was spoiled. Basic decor not even fancy that took 1 hr apparently as we reached hotel at 8:30 and decor got done after our dinner by 9:30 . And such poor communication. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone for any thing
