    Great dinner buffet, with lots of food options ranging from sushi, sashimi and beef slices for grill. Also includes 2 different onsen experiences. Highly recommend!! A little bit on the pricy side, but you don't often find such an amazing resort near with this price near mount Aso

    We booked Aso Baien Spa Resort via Agoda.com. The room description mentioned that a toilet was available in the room, but there was no clear information stating that the room did not have a shower. We only realised after check-in that there was no shower attached to the room. If you want to shower, you need to walk either to the hotel’s public bath area or to the public bath next door, which is also open to the public. This may not be an issue for some guests, but we believe the room description should clearly mention this information before booking, especially for international travellers who may expect a private shower in the room. We contacted Agoda immediately after check-in regarding our concern, but unfortunately they did not seem very interested in helping or resolving the issue. Other than that, the location around Mt Aso was beautiful and the onsen facilities themselves were quite nice.

    The hotel is very local and we have a problem since we have to go taking a bath at the onsen but we actually did not intend to go for onsen.
