    This is a great location for visiting a student at GW or exploring DC - it's close to the campus and a major metro line so a very solid option. Its economical so I'm happy to give it a thumbs up. However, there are a few things to be aware of, in my opinion. During "cross over" season because of their piping system, they do not have A/C, so if you happen to need it, they will tell you to open the windows and will happily and quickly provide a fan, but not a great experience when it's hot and humid in March. I would also recommend not staying on the 2nd floor. I was right over the hotel's entrance and the "arrival" music in the driveway area started at 6 a.m. and didn't end until 11. The driveway is also the smoking area so I had several days where I wanted to have the windows open but the smell of pipe smoke came into my room. Overall, the staff is very nice and the rooms are clean and big so if you're on an upper floor and it's not a weird period where they are changing from heat to A/C, I think it's a good value and a good place to explore much of DC.

    Regardless of what the ratings on travel sites or Google say, this is nowhere near four stars. I arrived at 1 pm tired from my flight and even though my room was ready, they wanted me to pay $25 extra to get it before 3 pm. A/C was noisy, walls thin and windows let in a draft that made the room cold at night (no heating was available in September). I liked the location and the room was fine but I won’t return.
