    I just recently stayed here with my wife. We had many bad experiences from the start. The young man at the reception was very rude. He didn’t know how to speak with somebody and would give Direct and downgrading answers. The hotel itself looks nice, but it is falling apart from the cockroaches to the lizards to the AC, not working and the pool outside and the indoor pool not being clean every time you go to a swimming pool, the first thing you smell is chlorine, the outside kids pool, and the covered pool you would not smell chlorine and the water look dirty like yellow The staff, the cleaning ladies, Salim at the coffee shop and Ibrahim, the manager was the only good thing at this place we had gotten half board meaning you get breakfast and dinner. We went one day to the beach and we had some food and I got horribly sick from their pizza tuna pizza on one of my last days we ordered food from outside because it was lunch and we don’t get lunch and when I brought in the food, one of the managers started having a rant on me saying that this is not allowed XYNZ and I had told him that you need to learn some customer service. We have stayed here for over two weeks and this is your response after spending so much money and time here you’re not gonna let me take a burger inside the place. He said you can use the restaurants here and I told him that every time I eat the food here I got sick. I never complained but now you’re forcing me to complain at which point he just gave a very rude response. I turned around and I checked out earlier than what I had paid for. I don’t care about the money it’s not about the money it’s about Customer Service. I came all the way from North America spending over *** on the hotel and the plane ticket and this is the service I get the hotel owner really really really needs to take care of his hotel if it wasn’t for Salem coffee shop guy and Ibrahim, the manger who gave us an awesome room on our last day as he saw what that manager had done and that’s taking initiative and the cleaning ladies except these three peoplethere was nothing positive about this hotel. When you were going to the dining room, except a few waiters, everybody look like they hated life. The managers never smiled barely said hello to you when you would see them almost 2 times a day. It just didn’t feel as a welcoming place. It might’ve been a very nice place a few years ago, a few months ago, even but things change overnight. This is my honest review thank you *** for making things good on my last day. I wish you would’ve done this from day one

    This hotel has definitely improved compared to the reviews I’ve read from the past few months. Firstly, the staff are all amazing and friendly and very welcoming, that’s the best thing about this hotel. Cons - this is a FRAM hotel which is a French travel agency so expect it to be majority French people/speaking. All the entertainment and everything was in French, a very French orientated hotel. With lots and lots of elderly guests. Not many young couples and a few families. The hotel itself is not a 5 star hotel, there were lots of things that a 5 star should have that this didnt, for example Irons and kettles should be included as standard. We eventually got a kettle but and iron was not something they provided. The pool is quite small. The furniture is very old and outdated. Dessert options could be better. Pros - Staff were all fantastic especially the staff in the restaurant, very friendly and did not have one bad experience with them. The beach area and the staff there were amazing and it has been done up very nicely, very aesthetically pleasing. With all facilities including huts, sunbeds, showers, toilets, bar etc, also has 24/7 security. They offer a Tuktuk to the beach which was convenient although the beach is only about a 5 minute walk which is very convenient also. Location was great. The food at the hotel was very good lots of options and changed frequently. Desserts do need improving. The actual building itself was very nice the architecture is fantastic. The entertainment was good they had variety of shows and entertainment each night. Taxis also available outside most of the time right outside the hotel. The medina and port are also within walking distance with lots of restaurants and cafes. The room was good and the bed was also good, we had a very nice room with a huge balcony, this may not be the same for many others however I think we got lucky with our room. The hotel also has its own shop which is convenient and also a shop a minutes walk away from the entrance with everything you’ll need and the owner is very friendly. Overall a good hotel which has made many improvements, just a few more needed to be considered a 5* hotel. If the hotel wasn’t so french orientated I would definitely visit again.

    This hotel is big. Great lobby with big areas, swimming pools, private beach area. Everything shows a 5 star hotel besides the room. A big empty room with an empty mini bar, with no complimentary water to drink, no bathrobe, no coffee machine, no water kettle, no slippers, no iron. But the most important was the terrible uncomfortable very hard beds. We asked for over-matress , and they didn't have. We booked half board with breakfast and dinner in the price, but with not even water included !!! We had to pay for a bottle of water!
